Al Faisal Without Borders

Al Faisal Without Borders Foundation (ALF) was founded with a vision “to empower people by giving them something that cannot be taken away." ALF aims to educate, engage and empower in Qatar and beyond by contributing to the development of healthcare, the socio-cultural education and welfare of young people, and corporate social responsibility.

Since its foundation, ALF has introduced multiple programs such as Destination ImagiNation (DI), which takes place in 27 countries around the world with 125,000 school children and students taking part each year and an alumni of 1.5 million. The program aims to boost Qatar’s status as a leader in education in the region, dedicated to the development and empowerment of the nation’s youth. Qatar is the first country in the Middle East to launch this effective and transformative program.

The Foundation has successfully extended its efforts to support international communities and has established ties with several international foundations such as the Prince Charles Foundation ‘Mosaic’ which sponsors a monitoring program for ex-offenders.  It has also supported similar programs in the US, including one for prisoner rehabilitation in the City of Chicago.  Providing different types of social and educational support to all parts of society reflects the Foundation’s commitment to significantly and positively contribute to society.
