FBQ Museum & Cultural Legacy
Driven by his passion as a collector for over five decades, Sheikh Faisal established the Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum (FBQ Museum), home to an eclectic collection of over 100,000 artifacts.
The museum showcases Islamic art, historic manuscripts, traditional Qatari handicrafts, antique vehicles, coins, carpets, dinosaur fossils, and even a reconstructed Syrian home, offering a holistic view into Qatar's heritage and humanity's broader history. In addition, the Oriental Carpet Museum in West Bay further enriches this cultural ecosystem by presenting one of the region’s most exquisite collections of handcrafted carpets, each piece representing centuries of artistry, symbolism, and craftsmanship. Together, these institutions serve not just as repositories but as living bridges between the past and present, placing Qatar’s rich cultural tapestry onto a global platform.
