HFF Announces $503m Refinancing for Three Prominent Hotels in New York, Miami, and Washington, D.C.

The HFF team worked on behalf of the borrower, Qatar-based Al Rayyan Tourism Investment Company (ARTIC), to place three floating-rate loans with Mack Real Estate Credit Strategies: a $290 million loan for The Manhattan at Times Square Hotel, a $132 million loan for the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort, and an $81 million loan for the St. Regis Washington, D.C.  Each loan carries a four-year term with one one-year extension.

Marriott Marquis City Center Doha Hotel has been awarded “Green Hotel” in Qatar Sustainability Awards 2108. The award, which serves as a recognition of the hotel’s continued commitment and effort in working towards a sustainable future and responsible tourism that benefits its guests, employees and the community at large, was presented by Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC), a member of Qatar Foundation on 28 October 2018.

ARTIC's Legal Team Attends the Third LexisNexis Qatar Business Law Forum

On November 13th, Al Rayyan Tourism and Investment Company (ARITC)'s Legal team attended the third LexisNexis Qatar Business Law Forum’s Gala Dinner, hosted by Lexis Nexis Legal & Professional, where ARTIC's Chief Legal Officer (CLO) Ms. Alisa Newman Hood received an honorable mention for General Counsel of the year, a great achievement that is well deserved.

This event combines a law conference that discusses major topics in Qatar business law, with the attendance of lawyers from local and international law firms, followed by an awards ceremony and gala dinner to celebrate the accomplishments of top performing legal experts. The judges are composed of an independent panel of industry leaders, academic practitioners, and government officials, and the nominations are assessed objectively using a predefined criteria.
